Two private companies will soon be awarded a $4 million contract to become one of the first from the private sector to carry out road upgrade works in the Naitasiri highlands.
Director Roads Rapheal Smith confirmed to Fijivillage that a private company won the tender to provide the construction material, while two other private companies will be given the task to carry out the construction work.
Smith said plans are now in motion to contract out more road upgrading projects to the private sector.
