The San Francisco 49ers have announced that they have waived Jarryd Hayne from their roster.
Club management released a statement yesterday morning to say running back, Kendall Gaskins had been promoted to the active roster from the team's practice squad.
In order to make room on the roster, the team waived Hayne.
Hayne signed with the 49ers as an undrafted free agent on March 3rd, 2015.
The former Parramatta Eels star appeared in six games this season and registered eight carries for 25 yards and returned eight punts for 76 yards on special teams.
