Athletics Fiji has named close to 47 winning athletes from the Coca Cola Games to be part of Team Fiji Athletics trials for the Mini Pacific Games.
Big names like Banuve Tabakaucoro, Mataiasi Savou, Tevita Nalovo, Eroni Cagi, Isoa Me, Remesio Lala, Jocame Waqanavonovono, Sireli Degei, and Lepani Naivalu have made it through from the boy’s division.
Suva Grammar Schools Coca Cola Games top female athlete Makitalena Lokolokobuka has also made the cut from the girl’s division and could get selected into the national team.
Other girls who also made the trials are Seleima Balevesi, Akesa Drotini, Mereula Salote of ACS while Suva Grammar girls dominate with Salote Niulevu, Paulini Korowaqa, Suliano Gusuivalu and Noela Taqai.
The athletes selected will go through trials from next week.
The Mini Pacific Games will be held in September in the Cook Islands.
