FIFA have announced prize money details for next year's World Cup finals in South Africa which will be worth 40-million dollars to the winning team and 33-million for the runners-up while all participating countries will receive an extra 1.4 million dollars to cover their preparation costs.

Every club who has a player at the tournament will receive $2200 a day, per player, starting from 15 days before the tournament kicks off.

FIFA's secretary general Jerome Valcke said total prize money available to the 32 finalists will be $580 million, a 61 percent increase on the pot for the 2006 World Cup in Germany.

Meanwhile the Pools for the 2010 World Cup will be drawn tomorrow morning in Cape Town.
