The Under-21 National Netball team needs a total of $40,000 for the planned ten day tour of New Zealand.

Time is catching up for National Netball Coach, Melissa Walker and the Under-21 team who desperately need financial assistance from the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

When contacted by Fijivillage, Walker said the Netball Executives had already lodged their request with the Ministry and expects a reply by this afternoon.

Walker adds taking any such team for build-up matches overseas can be very costly but feels the girls need it, to gauge their strengths and weaknesses before the World Youth Championships later this year.

The Under-21 team will meet South Africa on Friday March 6th. They then meet New Zealand on Saturday and Cook Islands on Sunday.

Walker concludes once all the administration part is covered, the team leaves our shores on Thursday.
