With school to start next Monday an estimated 4000 children in the worst flood affected areas in the western and northern divisions need urgent assistance.
Save the Children Fiji chief executive Chandra Shekhar confirmed that their teams are still carrying out thorough assessments in the Nadi area to obtain confirmed figures on the number of children that need assistance in terms of fees, bus fares and lunch.
Meanwhile, the Get The Children Back To School Appeal led by the Communications Fiji Limited radio stations, Legend FM, its sister stations and our website fijivillage.com has raised over $50,000 since it started two days ago.
