400 unemployed youth around Fiji have been registered as youth volunteers with the Vodafone ATH Fiji Foundation.

They will be part of the National Volunteer Centre which according to the Foundation will enable them to graduate by securing employment through acquiring employability skills, positive attitude, generating income and showcasing their arts and talents.

The Foundation said the Centre will also promote self investment and social entrepreneurship to provide peer mentoring, counseling, coaching and support for effective volunteerism.

The Foundation will also enter into a 3 year partnership with the Centre totalling $220,000 while $80,000 will be given as a first year grant.
