40% of the proceeds from the official tournament program from the Vancouver 7s will be donated towards the Cyclone Winston relief fund in Fiji.

This is the first time for Canada to host a men's World Series event and all eyes are on BC Place Stadium this weekend with tickets almost all sold‑out.

Canadian sevens team captain John Moonlight said it's been a long time coming having a home tournament and a lot of people have put in a lot of work and it's great to finally be in Canada.

Meanwhile the Vodafone Fiji 7s team will take on Samoa at 6.14am Sunday.

They will then face Portugal at 9.50am before taking on Kenya at 2pm Sunday.

The Cup quarterfinals start at 7.08am next Monday, the semifinals will be at 11.08am Monday while the Cup final will be held at 2pm next Monday.
