A four year old girl died after she fell from the moving rail cart in Yadua, Sigatoka yesterday morning.
Police confirm the girl with her friends was siting on top of the sugarcane that was piled on the cart.
She slipped from the pile of cane and landed onto the rails and came under the cart. Police say the girl died instantly.
Meanwhile, two Police Officers are admitted in a critical condition at Labasa hospital after being involved in an accident early yesterday morning.
Police say the 25 year old officer is in coma while the 27 year old officer has a broken arm and has dislocated his shoulder.
The two were travelling in a Police van in Vunika at around 1am yesterday when the tyre of the van burst and the van veered off the road.
