4 still being questioned over MH robbery
Police Regional Information Officer West, Wame Bautolu confirmed to Fijivillage news that police were following on some leads which led to the arrest of four men were arrested yesterday in Lautoka.
Four masked men armed with cane knives and pinch bars stormed into the supermarket and went into a room where all the weekends takings were kept and stole more than $40,000 cash and other items before fleeing in a car which was earlier stolen from the Lautoka hospital car park.
The getaway vehicle was later found abandoned in Lautoka.
Meanwhile, Police are now calling on residents along the coastal areas to keep a look-out for a white fiber glass boat that is drifting towards Kadavu.
The boat left Gau Islands this morning and was headed towards Nukulau Island before it started developing engine problems and started drifting.
