A total of four Zone records have so far fallen at the Suva Zone 1 currently underway at the TFL National Stadium.

The first two records broken were in the Open Boys and Girls 3,000m by Wainimakutu Secondary School athletes.

The next was broken in the Sub-Junior boys 1,500m where Suva Muslim College athlete Zafar Afral Dean broke a 23-year-old record and the fourth record broken was in the Junior Girls 400m heats by Wainimakutu Secondary School student Maratina Anasa.

Looking at the Fijivillage Medal tally so far:

In the Boys division, Assemblies of God leads with 3 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze, followed by Dudley High School with 2 gold, and Wainimakutu with 1 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze.

In the girls division, Ballantine Memorial lead with 3 gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze, second is Wainimakutu with 2 gold and 3 silver while Nasinu Secondary is third with 1 gold and 2 bronze.

Looking at the Lautoka Zone:

A total of 10 schools are taking part with organizers saying that it is a very close battle between Natabua High School, Tilak High and Jasper Willams.

So far one Western Zone record has been broken by Natabua's Allison Dickson in the Inter-Girls 400m where she recorded a time of 1min 2sec with the old record standing at 1min 3.25sec.
 
Yasawa had earlier pulled out of the Western Zone as they had financial difficulties.

The defending Champions are Xavier College of Ba.
