Four people including a driver are still admitted at the Korovou Hospital who were involved in an accident along the Kings Road which claimed the lives of two people yesterday.

Six people were traveling in a rental car from Tavua toward Korovou when the vehicle veered off the road and went into the Wainibuka River.

Police managed to recover the bodies of the father and son from the Wainibuka River who drowned following the road accident.

Police received the report of an alleged fatal at about 12.20am between Balekinaga and Wailevu, Wainibuka.

A 13 year old boy who was in the car managed to escape the wreckage but was still stuck in the river. 

His father believed to be in his early 40s attempted to rescue his son however was unsuccessful and both failed to surface from the river.
