Police arrested four people in Lokia road in Koronivia yesterday for allegedly transporting dried leaves believed to be marijuana.
Assistant Police spokesperson, Sgt. Atunaisa Sokomuri confirms the suspects were using a vehicle with a fake police number plate.
Team of police officers from Suva and Nausori in a joint operation gave chase to this vehicle and managed to arrest the four suspects
and recovered 43 packets of marijuana worth $100 each, with 26 sachets and $900 cash. All the four are currently being questioned by police.
Meanwhile, police are also questioning a 41 year old man who was arrested in Nausori town yesterday, after he was found in possession of 56 sachets of dried leaves believed to be marijuana.
