Police have managed to arrest the fourth suspect in relation to the alleged murder of 49-year-old Sheik Mohammed Hassan on Sunday night in Savusavu.

Assistant Police Spokesperson Atunaisa Sokomuri said another man was arrested yesterday in Savusavu whereas two men are in custody in Suva.

It is unclear at the moment when the two suspects in Suva will be sent to Vanua Levu where charges will be laid.

Police also managed to recover some items and cash from the suspects which were taken from the owner of the sawmill.

The four suspects face charges of murder and robbery with violence.

Sheik Hassan was guarding the sawmill premises when three masked men broke in and allegedly assaulted him after tying him up.

The men then went inside the house of the sawmill owner and also tied him up.

They then fled with more than $14,000 cash.
