For the first time ever four Fijians are in the New Zealand Sevens rugby team.

Coach Gordon Tietjens has recalled Viliame Waqaseduadua into the team while Tomasi Cama Junior and Lote Raikabula are retained from the last leg of the IRB Sevens Series.

Waikato winger Save Tokula is the new face after an impressive outing during last year’s NPC and in the Super 14 build-up matches this year.

All four will play in the backline with Waqaseduadua and Tokula being the two specialist wingers who have been brought in by Tietjens to add speed to the side.

The side will be once again captained by IRB and New Zealand Sevens player of the year DJ Forbes with the likes of Edwin Cocker and Zar Lawrence assisting him.

New Zealand are in pool B with Niue, Australia and Wales in Wellington.

The New Zealand International Sevens will kick-off in Wellington on Friday at 12pm with the opening game between England and France.

The Digicel Fiji Sevens team plays its first pool match against USA at 12:44pm Friday.
