Four Fiji citizens who have spent the last 28 months at the Buka police station cell in Bouganville, Papua New Guinea return home today.

The National News paper reports that the four, Aliki Moroca, Sojalame Gukirewa, Kalivati Dau and Manasa Dumuloto has their charges dismissed by the National Court due to lack of evidence.

In his farewell speech to the four earlier today, the Autonomous Bouganville Government President Joseph Kabui thanked the men for their patients and cooperation with authorities.

Kabui said that the case of the Fiji citizens not only brought bad experience to Bouganville but had also stengthened the Melanisia friendship between the two countries.

The four were whisked away by the Second Secretary the Fiji High Commission Daniel Joseph soon after being released.

The four were arrested and detained after allegations of being involved in training Missionaries on Bouganville for failed money scheme operator and wanted felon Noah Musingku.
