Four people charged with conspiracy to commit a felony have been remanded in custody by the Nasinu Magistrates court.

The four Alipate Vakadewavosa, Jemesa Turaga, Aprosa Vakanawa and Kamanieli Vecena were arrested by the Police Strike Back team over allegations that they were planning to intercept a company vehicle carting a large sum of money yesterday morning.

No plea was taken and the four have been remanded until January 25th.

Police confirmed earlier that the staff from the Suva based company were carting the money when they suspected that they were being followed by suspicious characters in a taxi, and informed police.

The Police Strike Back team responded and tailed the two vehicles before they intercepted the taxi in Kinoya. Upon searching the vehicle they found masks, cane knives and other implements which could have been used in a robbery.
