Four youths appeared in the Suva Magistrates Court this afternoon charged with alleged Forgery, Uttering False Documents and producing fake notes after they allegedly counterfeited $3000 in Fijian currency.
The plea for 20 year old Pranil Nand, 19 year old Romit Chand, 19 year old Sheetal Prasad and 21 year old Samendra Nand who is unemployed has been deferred as the four have requested to seek legal advice.
The case has been adjourned till December 10th and they have been released on strict bail conditions.
It was earlier confirmed that the four were arrested after police confiscated more than $3000 counterfeit notes from them.
Police also managed to confiscate laptops, printers and other equipment allegedly used to produce the counterfeit notes.
