Political parties in the country will today gather at the Fiji Police Academy for the 3rd Political Party meeting to again discuss the way forward for Fiji.

Matters in the agenda include the proposed objectives of the President's Political Dialogue forum, composition of the UN and Commonwealth Mediation Team, proposed principles for mediation support from the UN and Commonwealth, civil society engagement, discussion on the Pacific Islands Forum and Commonwealth Ministerial Action Group (CMAG) and statement on Fiji amongst other issues.

Meanwhile, there is still no word on whether political parties SDL, NFP and UPP will be able to attend the Forum meeting today.

The parties had received a letter from the interim Prime Minister to have a positive outlook on issues at the meet today and for an undertaking to be made to this effect late yesterday afternoon or they would be excluded from the meet.

Information Permanent Secretary Major Neumi Leweni said the parties will only be allowed into the meet if they agreed to the conditions set out in the letter by the Interim PM to be more positive.
