A three year partnership between Australia and the University of the South Pacific was launched on Tuesday night with a funding of $33 million dollars given by the Australian Govt which will support the strategic plan.

The partnership still lingers on since the establishment of USP 42 years ago and this money will greatly assist the running of USP.

Vice Chancellor USP, Professor Rajesh Chandra hopes that the partnership will continue and it is simple if USP delivers well, they will get more funding.

Meanwhile Australia's Minister Counsellor for Pacific Development Cooperation, Judith Robinson said Australia has a great deal of confidence in working with USP.
