Minister for Education, Rosy Akbar says they will soon hire 30 retired teachers as counselors who will work with the National Substance Abuse Advisory Council.

While speaking at the Prefects Investiture Ceremony at Nasinu Muslims College, Akbar says these counselors will be working to address issues such as drug abuse, bullying, harassment and teenage pregnancy.

Akbar says they will be sending out Expressions of Interest soon.

The Minister adds that they need the experience of these teachers.

Meanwhile, 101 students have been selected as student leaders for Nasinu Muslim College.
