Tomorrow the three people arrested for the alleged human trafficking ring in Canada which saw Canadian Police rescuing three women - two of whom is a Fiji Citizen, are expected to appear in Court.

The three are alleged to have opened a massage parlour as a front for a prostitution ring. The ladies went to work in the massage industry in Canada after answering ad in the newspapers.

Canada Border Agency and Edmonton Police carried out a raid on the 5th of September and rescued the three women aged between 21 to 41 years were made to work 24hours a day and 7 days a week.

Meanwhile, 3 local businessmen and an Indian national involved in an illegal human trafficking scam have appeared in court last week charged with trafficking in person.

The three locals were granted $250 cash bail with strict conditions.

The case has been adjourned to the 29th of this month to allow the accused to engage legal counsel.

The four are allegedly involved in the human trafficking scheme which resulted in the arrest of 13 Indian nationals.
