Three teams are fighting for the remaining two spots in the play-off for Super rugby next weekend.

With the last round of competition this weekend - the Reds, Stormers, Crusaders and Blues have all secured their positions in the play-offs but they still need to win to secure a home play-off.

The remaining two spots is a tussle between the Bulls, Sharks and Waratahs.

The Bulls will play the Sharks this weekend, with the winner taking all while the Waratahs face a must-win against the Brumbies to be in the hunt.

Just looking at the points standing, Reds has 62 points, in second place are the Stormers with 58 points, Crusaders on 57 points, the Blues 56 while the Bulls and Sharks are tied on 53 points and the Waratahs have 52 points.

In Week 1 of the play-offs next weekend, the first two sides on the points table will be rewarded with a week-off and they are also automatically through to the semi finals.

The third placed team will enter a sudden death play-off with the sixth placed team and the 4th placed team play the 5th placed team.

In the semifinal, the number 1 team in the competition will play against the lowest ranked qualifier while the second team in the points standing will face the highest ranked qualifier.

On Friday night, at 7.35pm the Blues will host the Highlanders.
