Three senior Land Transport Authority officials have been sent home for allegedly being involved in corrupt practices.

This has been confirmed by LTA Chief Executive Officer Etuate Koroi who said investigations are being carried out against the three and the matter now lies with Police.

Also to prevent further practices taking place, the LTA has started reviewing its IT System.

Koroi had told Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama at their headquarters yesterday, that the new IT system will monitor all work carried out by LTA and will easily detect any corrupt practices.

Koroi added that before, customers and officials could get away with bribery and other corrupt practices however with a new IT system this would be near impossible.

Police say investigations are continuing against the LTA officials.
