3 plead Guilty to Larceny
Lusiana Waqavaca, a 22 year old receptionist at Sauna Bath and Massage Shop in Laucala Bay, her husband, 21 year old Isireli Nathan Rafiq, and a 21 year old bus checker, Simon Shah of Wailea Settlement are charged with two counts of larceny.
The court heard that on 15th of this month two Korean Nationals, 60 year old Kim Sam Yong, a ship captain and his colleague a 48 year old engineer of the ship went to the massage parlour for a massage.
Yong had $4800 and a mobile worth $230 while his colleague had $95 cash and a mobile phone worth $46. They were told to take off their clothes which were locked by Lusiana in a locker.
Lusiana then sent a text to her husband and informed him that there were two rich clients and their items were in the locker. The husband came and stole the items and the two Korean Nationals had to call their friends to get clothes for them.
The three pleaded guilty to their charges and have been remanded in custody as the third accused, Simon Shah who was convicted of house breaking in January was on a suspended sentence for 24 months.
They will be sentenced on 1st September.
