Three people died in a road accident in Ciriwai Sigatoka late yesterday.
A 47-year-old man, his 40-year-old wife, his 20-year-old daughter and 28-year-old son-in-law were on their way to Nadi International Airport for the 28-year-old to catch a flight to Australia to attend a funeral when they had a head-on-collision with another vehicle.
The 47-year-old man, his wife and son-in-law passed away last night while the 20-year-old woman is admitted in hospital.
The driver of the other vehicle and two passengers are admitted in hospital.
It is alleged that the 28-year-old driver failed to negotiate a bend and went to the opposite lane resulting in the accident.
Police are now waiting for the 26-year-old driver to recover before they start the interview process.
