Three new players have been drafted into the Digicel Fiji Sevens training squad ahead of the Hong Kong and Japan leg of the IRB Sevens Series.

Former national fifteens and sevens half-back Nikola Matawalu has been recalled into the squad with Police playmaker Waisale Dau and Naitasiri number 8 Timoci Vakadranu.

Matawalu played in the South Africa Sevens and missed out in the last leg.

Also coming back into the team are Joeli Lutumailagi and Miti Nacagilevu.

Other prominent players who have been performing well in the local sevens and have been named for the squad are Apisai Naiyabo, Joji Raqamate, Niko Verekauta, Ilai Tinai, Josaia Lotawa.

Former 100 meter Coke Games champion Mataiasi Savou is also in the 26 member squad.

Players like Osea Kolinisau and Dan Rawaqa are still injured while Metuisela Talebula will travel with the Fiji Warriors team for the PRC.

The other 9 players who returned from Las Vegas will attend the fitness test.
