3 men arrested in Lami robbery
Assistant Police PRO Corporal Josaia Weicavu said a group of about six masked men entered a home in Wailekutu Lami last week and threatened the occupants before walking away with valuables.
He said police have managed to recover $4,000 worth of stolen items and the three have been charged with robbery with violence.
Meanwhile, Labasa police are investigating an accident after a bus veered off the road and hit a FEA post yesterday afternoon.
Assistant Police PRO Corporal Josaia Weicavu said the bus was travelling towards Labasa from Seaqaqa with seven passengers when the driver is alleged to have lost control of the bus in Tabia which veered off the road hitting a lamp post.
A 23 year old school teacher has been admitted at Labasa Hospital while the other passengers and the driver were sent home after being treated for minor injuries. Police are yet to question the bus driver.
