Police are raising concern after three lives were lost due to drowning in one week alone.
The latest being a 40 year old man in Lau who drown while out diving with a friend.
Spokesperson Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri said this, following the incident where the 40year old man died after experiencing breathing problems while diving.
Two other people died on Monday after they went swimming in the Sigatoka River.
Police are expected to conduct a post mortem on Monday.
The drowning toll has increased to 26 compared to 34 last year.
