Three men are in custody following an incident where a man who was trying to rob a family was found dead in Vusuya, Nausori.
The incident occurred early this morning when the man was allegedly seen illegally entering a home in Vusuya.
A neighbor saw what was happening and called two others to assist in apprehending the man.
Police Chief of Intelligence and Investigations ACP Henry Brown says the three managed to apprehend the intruder and what transpired after that is still subject of the ongoing investigations.
ACP Brown says they will await the post mortem examination result to determine the cause of death.
In another incident, a 21-year-old man is admitted in the Lautoka Hospital after he sustained injuries during an attempted robbery case in Lautoka on Wednesday morning.
The man allegedly entered the home of a 47-year-old woman and threatened her and her 17-year-old son.
However during the incident, the 17-year-old managed to get hold of a knife and struck the suspect who fled the scene.
The suspect was later found unconscious and was conveyed to the Lautoka Hospital where he remains admitted.
