3 found with dried leaves
Police Spokesperson, Sergeant Atunsaia Sokomuri said police conducted a search in a vehicle during a roadblock in Sigatoka valley yesterday afternoon, when they discovered a sack containing dried leaves. Another vehicle was searched around 5.30pm when some dried leaves were found in a plastic bag and some undisclosed cash with the driver was also discovered.
Sergeant Sokomuri said in the past three weeks they have conducted raids which is alarming and has urged people to refrain from selling drugs.
Meanwhile Police will now monitor all the fibre glass boats that are coming from outer islands to Viti Levu and Vanua Levu.
This after police discovered that people from outer islands are using fibre glass boats to transport Marijuana to mainlands.
Officer-In-Charge Drugs, ASP Sakeo Ganivatu said it is now a main concern to them and officers have been alerted.
