Three drivers have been charged with causing death by dangerous driving in separate incidents following three fatal accidents over the weekend.

In the latest incident, a man died in Lautoka where a 17-year-old who was allegedly driving a vehicle without a license failed to negotiate a bend and hit a 50-year-old man who died at Lautoka Hospital yesterday.

In a separate incident, a 45-year-old field officer of Cuvu, Sigatoka died after he was hit by a vehicle driven by a 62-year-old man of Ba in Semo, Sigatoka on Saturday night.

On Friday, a 32-year-old man died after he was hit by a car while crossing the road in Makoi 8 miles.

Director Traffic Mahesh Mishra has raised concern that despite numerous warnings, drivers continue speeding which is one of the major causes of fatal accidents.
