Labasa Police are questioning three men who allegedly robbed and assaulted a 40 year old taxi driver, Pradeep Chand to death in Labasa over the weekend.
Divisional Crime Officer Northern, ASP Luke Rawalai confirms that two of the three suspects were arrested early this morning after police raided their homes in Seaqaqa.
It has been established that the three hired Chand's taxi from Labasa town and took him to an isolated spot where they robbed him and assaulted him to death.
The three then took Chand's body to a swampy area in Bocalevu and left it there.
The suspects then drove his taxi to Labasa club where they parked the vehicle and fled to Seaqaqa.
The post mortem is currently being conducted.
