Three Prime Ministers from the region will be in Suva tomorrow for the launch of a major biography of Fiji's late founding father, Ratu Sir Kamisese Mara.

Papua New Guinea Prime Minister Sir Michael Somare and a close friend of Ratu Sir Kamisese for many years will be the principal guest at the function.

Also schedule to be present at the invitation of Sir Michael are the Solomon Islands Premier Doctor Derek Sikua and Vanuatu Prime Minister Edward Natapei.

Chief Executive of the Fijians Trust Fund and joint publisher, Isoa Kaloumaira said the occasion would be important for promoting Ratu Sir Kamisese's legacy of chiefly and national leadership.

Written and researched by historian Doctor Deryck Scarr, the biography is the first substantial account of Ratu Sir Kamisese's life and career since his death over five years ago.

Sir Michael Somare will be honoured tomorrow with rare and elaborate Fijian ceremonies by the Vanua Ko Lau of Suva. They were last performed for Ratu Sir Kamisese at a meeting of the Lau Provincial Council in 2000.
