As world leaders met recently to discuss progress towards achieving the eight Millennium Development Goals, it has been highlighted that Fiji needs to pay particular attention to three key areas.

Speaking after the launch of Fiji’s MDG report at the Suva Civic Auditorium to mark the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty, UN Resident Representative Knutt Ostby said Fiji has been progressing well in achieving some of the MDG’s by 2015, such as access to education and environment protection.

However he said there are three MDGs that need improvement.
