Residents in Lami and Delainavesi are now questioning the efficiency of the Water Supply Department as they have been waiting for three whole days for water.
Mika Gukibau, a retiree living in Lami, said that although water has been restored to his home, the Water Supply Department should realize that water is a necessity of life.
Meanwhile, upper Delainavesi resident Bilash Raj, said water trucks come around but do not take into account the many families who live away from the main road and who struggle to get their children to school on time.
Meanwhile, the Water Supply Department said that after their meeting with the engineers, water is expected to be back late this afternoon as they are trying to stabilize water levels at the Wailoku Treatment Plant.
