Police have arrested and charged three men for allegedly robbing and assaulting a 40 year old taxi driver of Siberia, Labasa, to death on Sunday morning.
The three of Seaqaqa have been charged with murder, robbery with violence and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
The three allegedly hired the taxi of Pradeep Chand and took him to an isolated place where they assaulted and robbed him and later beat him to death before leaving his body in a river in Bocalevu.
They then took Chand's taxi to Labasa Club, abandoned it and fled to Seaqaqa.
The three will appear in the Labasa Court this morning.
