A 29 year old salesman lost his life in a road accident along Yasiyasi road in Nadera around 6am today.
Police say the 29 year old was driving the vehicle with two other passengers when it hit a lamp post.
Spokesperson, Ana Naisoro said the driver was taken to the CWM Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Naisoro said the two passengers who were in the vehicle fled the scene.
It is alleged that the driver was drunk as he smelt of liquor.
It is believed that the group was returning from a night out.
Police are now looking for the other two passengers.
The road death toll now stands at 36 compared to 37 for the same period last year.
