29 overseas based players have been named in the Vodafone Flying Fijians extended squad to prepare for the upcoming Pacific Nations Cup, the world cup qualifier and the test match against Italy next month.

Of the 29 players 24 are based in Europe and some notable inclusions are Sireli Bobo, Sunia Koto, Nemia Soqeta and Isei Colati.

The local based players include Tailevu pair Emori Waqa and Henry Seniloli, Jonetani Ralulu, Nemani Nagusa, Manasa Saulo, Rupeni Nasiga, Viliame Veikoso, young Suva prop Leeroy Atalifo, Sekonaia Kalou and sevens speedster Samisoni Viriviri.

Flying Fijians coach John McKee said they decided to name 39 players in case of injuries.

He added that he expects to have an assistant coach finalized by next week.


The ten local based players will march into camp on the 19th of this month while the overseas based players will join them a week later.

The Vodafone Flying Fijians will play four test matches next month starting with Italy on the 7th.
