A 28 year old man of Lautoka has died after the 7 ton truck he was travelling in went off the road and collided with a bus in Lovu, Lautoka at about 6 o'clock yesterday afternoon.

Assistant Police Spokesperson, Corporal Suliano Tevita has confirmed the deceased who is an employee of 4R Electrical Company Limited, along with two other employees were heading towards Ba when the Truck driver lost control and went into the opposite lane.

The truck driver who was admitted in hospital has been discharged and is expected to be questioned soon by police.

The other two other passengers in the truck are still in critical condition.

The national road death toll is now the same as last year, which currently stands at 9.
