A total of 287 confirmed cases of typhoid have been recorded in the country for this year alone.

According to the statistics released by the Health Ministry, Keiyasi Health Centre recorded the highest number of confirmed cases.

The stats also reveal that most cases in the Keiyasi and the Western Division were for those between the age of 20-29 years.

Meanwhile, after a huge vaccination campaign the Public Health Team is expected to shift their focus to the Northern Division.

Spokesperson, Iliesa Tora said this is being done to target specific areas where there were outbreaks recorded in the past.
