Save the Children Fiji has identified a total of 2761 school children who need urgent assistance to attend classes.
Chief Executive Chandra Shekhar has revealed that the survey team is now liaising with Principals and Head teachers of 37 schools that have been identified to provide assistance to the needy children.
According to Shekhar these schools are from the Central and Western Division.
Communications Fiji Limited (CFL), the parent company of fijivillage.com gave $140,000 yesterday to Save the Children Fund to get the children back to school. More funds will be handed over as donations are still coming in.
