A 27 year old man of Bilolo Ba and his two year old son have passed away after the car they were traveling in went off the road in Elevuka, Ba yesterday.

Director Traffic, SSP Mahesh Mishra confirmed the man died yesterday while his 2 year old son passed away at just after 3 o'clock this afternoon.

The 2yr old was thrown out of the vehicle during the accident.

According to Mishra the man was drunk and was speeding at the time of the incident.

SSP Mishra has raised concern saying that the 2 were not wearing seat belts.

He has also called on people and car owners to have child restraint device in the vehicle.

Police have once again warned the members of the public to refrain from drinking and driving as this is one of the major cause of road fatalities in the country.
