Nausori Police have arrested a 26 year old man in relation to the death of a 7-year-old boy of Naitasiri who died after sustaining injuries while swimming.
Regional Crime Officer Eastern, ASP Aca White has confirmed that the suspect is alleged to have thrown the victim in the river which resulted him receiving the injuries.
He was transferred to the CWM hospital where he later passed away.
Police are awaiting his post mortem report.
According to police the victim and the suspect who is a farmer are from the same village.
