Assessments carried out by the Save the Children Fiji team so far shows that 2605 students are in need of assistance in the Cakaudrove area.
Chief Executive Officer Chandra Shekhar said the two day assessment done by the four member team shows that 2605 students from 16 schools need books, stationaries and lunches.
Shekhar said 670 students need stationaries while 1978 students are in need of lunch.
He also said that the numbers are expected to increase as these figures do not include Tukavesi and Taveuni as assessments are still being carried out.
