The 26 schools that the Australian government will rebuild will be completed in August.
Australian High Commissioner Margaret Twomey says they will start planning and assessing all the schools that were damaged before their works start next month.
Twomey says there are 16 schools from the province of Cakaudrove, 11 schools from Ra and 2 schools from Lautoka-Yasawa.
Minister for Education Dr Mahendra Reddy says some of the schools were severely damaged so those schools might overlap to term 3.
Reddy says despite that, most of the schools should be up and running by the end of term 2.
Meanwhile, the rebuilding of these schools is an additional $1.6million to the $23million previously donated by the Australian government.
