Twenty five FIT students today received scholarships from Vodafone Fiji to cover for tuition and book fees for the duration of their Electrical Engineering course.
Vodafone's Manager Cooperate Affairs Shalendra Prasad said they recognise the need to support the many parents who are struggling to meet the educational needs of their children, during this very difficult economic environment.
One of the only four girls in the Course, Riteshni Deo said now she can pursue her dream of becoming an engineer.
Another recipient Rajneet Ram from Labasa said he is grateful for the scholarship, since his mother is the sole bread winner, and life has been tough.
