A total of 24 provincial teams will be vying for top honours at the Fiji TV FRU Lawaqa 7s this weekend.
The Lawaqa tournament is the 2nd in the four tournament series and organisers reveal that the teams are not only out for the $7,000 prize money but also for a spot on the national team.
FRU Operations Manager, Aporosa Tuqovu said from the 24 teams, two teams will consist of players who are earmarked for the national team and this will be a testing ground for these players.
Some of the teams taking part are defending champions Namosi 2 along with Nadroga, Lautoka, Suva and Rewa.
The Fiji TV Lawaqa 7s will be held at Lawaqa Park this Saturday.
