Twenty four local 7s clubs will compete for a spot in the Bayleys Fiji Coral Coast Sevens next week when the inaugural Uluinakau Rugby Ra 7s kicks off at the Ra Sports Ground in Rakiraki.
The winning team will walk away with $3,000 while the runner-up will win $1,000.
Tournament organiser Eliki Kaisuva said this event is special for the people Ra as it will be the first that such a highly competitive 7s tournament would be held in the province.
20 teams have been confirmed for the competition so far.
The Uluinakau Rugby Ra 7s will start next Friday.
