The Fiji Rugby Union has finalized a 24 member squad for the Fiji Under 18 sevens side to the Youth Olympic Games in China later this year.

Fiji Rugby Union’s Development Officer Sale Sorovaki confirmed that the squad has already been selected and they are awaiting the arrival of national coach Ben Ryan before the final 12 member players are selected.

Sorovaki said the squad selected consists of a good mixture of players and it will be a hard task for Ryan to select his final team.

Key players who are expected to make the final cut include Vodafone Fiji 7s squad member Waisea Daroko, Ratu Kadavulevu School’s Epineri Uluiviti, Filimoni Nawawabalavu and Filipe Nasilasila as well as speedsters Apisai Ratumudu of Marist Brothers High School and Jacob Waqanivalu of International School Suva.

The Youth Olympic Games will be held in Nanjing, China from August 16th to the 28th.
